Soho inspiration Venus of the rags
The statue of a classic Venus faces towards an igloo-shaped pile of rags. The sculpture stands against clothes, which prevents observers from seeing the front. This sculpture by Michelangelo Pistoletto, created in 1967, represents the source of inspiration for Soho-t’s Fall-Winter 2023/24 photoshoot.
Venus was the ancient Roman goddess of love, symbol of beauty and fertility. The artist used its figure to recall the classical tradition of Italian art. Soho-t creates a set of scrap materials to recall the attention on the result of those “rags”.
